Using Polaroid with B&W i-Type Film for the First Time
As soon as I arrived at the beach, I knew that the B&W i-Type film was going to be perfect for the moody, atmospheric shots I had in mind. The film has a high ISO of 800, which means it performs well in low light conditions, making it perfect for capturing the rough, weathered boats against the overcast sky.
Developing Milestones
I had low expectations for the roll of HP5 these prints came from after it sat in my OM-1 for nearly two months and proved frustratingly curly to spool. Despite that, it marks a milestone for me as the first negatives I developed using chemicals I sourced and mixed myself, following a Kodak D-23 recipe from The Darkroom Cookbook by Steve Anchell. The formula is simple, but seeing such satisfying results from a developer I made myself felt incredibly rewarding and has encouraged me to experiment with more homemade darkroom chemistry.
